Reginald Byron is Senior Lecturer in Social Anthropology at the Queen's University in Belfast. In addition to his work in Shetland, he has carried out field research in several other places in the British Isles, Scandinavia and West Germany. Dr. Byron is the author of a number of publications on anthropological subjects.
