The Journal of Newfoundland and Labrador Studies is a division of Memorial University of Newfoundland's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and is published by Memorial University Press. The journal was founded in 1985 as a bi-annual, interdisciplinary journal devoted to publishing original essays, in either English or French, about the society and culture of Newfoundland and Labrador, past and present.
Digital editions of current and past issues of the journal are available on an Open Access basis.
Print subscriptions were phased out at Newfoundland and Labrador Studies in 2023, but backlist issues and occasional publication are available by contacting the journal at (709) 864-2144 or by email at nls@mun.ca.
